Scouts Take a Tour

Peachtree City Troop 75 Scout Leader Kim Lehmann, reached out to Gail Jenkins, in September inquiring if the 2023 Annual Fayetteville Cemetery Walk was appropriate for her Scout Troop made up of 3rd graders. Gail shared with Kim that it might be a little too lengthy for them, stating she was concerned they would get bored and lose interest. So Gail came up with a solution to personalize the tour for them. She and Kim selected particular people buried in the Cemetery that would share a broad range of history with the scouts and hopefully keep their interest. On Sunday afternoon November 5, 2023, these energetic and enthusiastic Scouts got to take the tour designed with them in mind. We feel like they did learn some history about the county and a few new facts about the beginning of Peachtree City as well.
