The 2022 Cemetery Walk was our first year to host the 15th Fayetteville City Cemetery Walk formerly known as the Spirt Walk. The walk, started by Debbie Riddle, was held in association with the Holliday-Dorsey-Fife Museum (the museum closed in 2020) through Main Street Fayetteville.

Each year eight former citizens of Fayette County are spotlighted in our Cemetery Walk. Guides take a group around the cemetery to listen to actors who tell the story of that person's life. Family members play the parts of their loved ones when possible. Actors dress in time period appropriate attire and use props that would have been a part of the era in which the person they are protraying was alive.

We are proud to host the 17th Fayetteville City Cemetery Walk on October 18, 19, 20, 2024. Being a part of all of the events going on around Fayette County in the Fall is exciting. We look forward to seeing everyone as the leaves begin to fall and that chill is in the air. If you like to volunteer for this event and be a part of this wonderful history lesson, please contact us, we would love to have you.
