Bringing Dignity to Those Who Rest Here

Historic Fayetteville City Cemetery

The Historic Fayetteville Cemetery was established in 1823, two years after the land was ceded from the Creek Indians. Those that rest here include Civil War, WWI, WWII, and Korean War soldiers. Founding families of our county, relatives of Margaret Mitchell and “Doc” Holliday, a Governor, five Sheriffs, Mayors, and Congressmen have been laid to rest here.
